Where RugNoor Began

RugNoor was started by three siblings from an artisan family in Bhadohi, a place where we grew up surrounded by rugs, weavers, and the craft of rug-making.

We were also the first generation in our family to step outside that world. We pursued engineering at institutions including NSUT and IGDTUW, and went on to build careers in the technology industry, including at companies like PepsiCo.

THE REALISATION

But Rugs Stayed With Us

Yet, despite moving into a completely different professional world, rugs remained a part of our lives. We had grown up seeing the people, processes, and craftsmanship behind them up close.

Over time, we realised that our family had spent generations around an incredible craft - Indian rug-making - but that legacy had never had a modern platform of its own.

That realisation became the starting point for RugNoor.

So we decided to bring the two worlds together.
